The light was just starting to go down as we arrived. It felt like the middle of Summer even though it was already late into October. The breeze was soft and comforting, so were the little baby pink enamel tables of the terraces, set outside on what used to be parking spots. We’d heard about the wine selection of La Flaque, which was supposed to be one of a kind. Well, we fell in love with the atmosphere and team, which was also for sure one of kind. And the wine too, of course. The menu, covered in glitter and placed in a golden frame had us smile as soon as we sat down.

We’d been following Luca on instagram for a while, and dreaming about the day he’d get to have his own space to go wild and free. We already knew Ben back when he was running the service at Nénu, and when he decided to open his very first restaurant, Luca was the one he wanted in his kitchen. Drinks wise, he partnered with The Cocktails Club to make sure nothing was left to chance.
Let’s just say this, you won’t come across many places like Tatar.

When the Dillens team decided to open a new venue, it wasn’t long till we were sitting at one of their tables. We each went separately, Chloé in spring, and myself during the Summer.

That night, I had no idea where I was going, my friends had taken me out on a surprise dinner. As we were driving through different neighborhoods, I was mentally browsing through our whole website in my head, trying to pinpoint the one place they were taking me to, but no luck. As we arrived in Uccle, we finally stopped in front of a washed-green building, where I was finally able to read the word Ivresse with a smile – Chloé had told them where to take me.
