Friday evening, to celebrate the start of the weekend and because it had just opened, we hurried to Mushu.

The place had opened just two days ago, by Ben and Luca, whom we know from the Tatar restaurant, already one of our favorite spots in Brussels.

Here, the concept is super simple, a unique counter to sit at facing the chefs, a barbecue, and yakitori skewers. And unsurprisingly, everything was amazing, just like Luca, who already dazzles us at Tatar.

The small metal plates followed one another without resembling each other – salmon back and daikon radish (€9), green asparagus and yuzu kosho (€6), tsukune meatballs lighter than air (€7.50), ultra-tender cuttlefish – in short, we loved the menu, and we practically ordered everything.

We particularly loved the ambiance, always having an eye on the kitchen, the selection of sake (from €9 to €9.50 per glass), and Luca’s amazing creations.

Clearly one of our latest crushes in Brussels.
