As healthy lunch options are rapidly growing across the capital, cool breakfast spots however, remain quite uncommon. Even the coolest cafés rarely stray off the beaten path, offering croissants and cookies as the only options with their coffee. You can imagine the delight discovering The Wild Lab’s breakfast menu. If you’re still having a hard time with acai, chia or avocado bowls, then maybe this is your chance to make up. If you already truly love these colourful, delicious and healthy breakfasts, than you’ll find at The Wild Lab exactly what you came looking for.
Behind the counter and in the kitchen, Stéphanie, nutrition consultant and self-made chef. Passionate about healthy food, she learned most of her skills while she was travelling around the globe. Katherine had already launched her website “Everybody Agrees” a while back, where she was selling sustainable clothing and accessories – Belgian brands, or brands working with recycled materials, organic cotton and so on. It was quite natural for both girls to come together to open this café-boutique, where healthy food and sustainable fashion unite. From morning till late afternoon, you’ll find smoothie bowls, granola, chia pudding, banana with peanut butter toasts or even eggs with avocado on offer (from 6,50€ to 9€). A smaller menu is weekly updated for lunch, in order to keep everything fresh and available. The daily buddha bowl (14€) with roasted eggplant, tahine-yogurt sauce, homemade hummus, pomegranate and halloumi was one of the best things I had lately. And for brunch, their 21€ menu defies all competition with sweet potato patties, coconut bowl and french toast (yes all of the three together).
Just one pice of advice : go early, there are only so many seats.
