Yassou

A new little bistro serving Greek-inspired cuisine has just opened on Place de Londres.

Nicolas, who’s half Greek, runs the place with his friend Grégoire in the kitchen. The space is simple and welcoming, open from morning through the afternoon, and for apéro on Thursdays and Fridays.

But the real magic happens on the plate. We picked from the mezze that will always be on the menu: the kolokithokeftedes – zucchini fritters served with Greek yogurt – absolutely delicious (€12), the feta pastry (€12), fluffy as a cloud, and the ultra-light meatballs (€12). Everything was excellent.

We also tried one of the two daily specials, the “Greek-style ratatouille,” served with crumbled feta and yogurt and loaded with melt-in-your-mouth vegetables (€16). We wrapped things up with the iconic freddo cappuccino (€4.50) and the portokalopita – the traditional Greek orange cake (€6.50) – which was absolutely stunning.

A new spot we already love and one you should check out sooner rather than later.
