Barkboy
Rue de l'Enseignement, 20
1000 - Bruxelles
Espresso : 3,50€
Cappuccino : 4,20€
Barkboy is one of those coffee bars that just gets everything right. From sourcing to service, it’s all on point.
They work exclusively with beans from Parlor Coffee – which used to run a coffee bar in the very same space before Jackie – their pastries (€4 to €4.80) are homemade, and the team is genuinely lovely.
Their first location, on Rue de l’Enseignement near Cirque Royal, has a true neighborhood bar feel, with a counter that opens onto the street for takeout and a compact space that’s perfect for grabbing a pastry and a coffee before work. They recently opened a second spot on Cantersteen, between BOZAR and Brussels Central Station, where they also bake all the pastries for both locations – and serve excellent brunch as well.
And to top it all off, bonus points for the coconut cappuccino – absolutely flawless – and for the fact that coconut and oat milk come at no extra charge.
