Le Restaurant du Chaudron

As you drive up to the Ferme du Chaudron, it almost feels like you’re miles away from the city.
A pond, open fields, people walking by. You park and make your way on foot to the restaurant.

We came to try the Restaurant du Chaudron: a circular, socially driven project with a 100% organic menu that changes every week depending on rescued surplus ingredients.

But beyond the values behind the project, it’s above all a place where we ate really well. Two starters, two mains, and two desserts on the menu, along with a nice selection of wines, craft beers, and house-made drinks.

For starters, we had roasted broccoli and fennel with labneh and toasted buckwheat, and a perfectly cooked egg served with a white asparagus mousseline and green wild garlic oil. Two beautifully executed plates – simple, but genuinely delicious.

We continued with polenta, beetroot, roasted carrots, pumpkin seeds, and chili oil, and absolutely loved it.

The space is simple and warm, and the team takes great care of you.
The Restaurant du Chaudron is a thoughtful, purpose-driven project, with food that makes sense – but above all, a very good spot we already want to come back to.
