The best gelato in the world isn’t in Rome or Florence – it’s right here in Brussels.
Gelateria Giotto is a tiny neighborhood gelato spot on Rue Washington, right in the heart of Châtelain. Their gelato is made without artificial flavors, food coloring, or hydrogenated fats, and the result is honestly out of this world.
Their pistachio flavor, for example, tastes like biting into freshly roasted pistachios, and it’s hands down the best pistachio gelato I’ve ever had in my life.
The flavors change with the seasons, blending Italian know-how with Belgian local produce, like their Wépion strawberry gelato when strawberries are at their peak.
And last March, they did actually win the Gelato Festival World Masters finale, competing against more than 3,500 gelato makers from around the globe. So naturally, they’ve been blowing up on social media ever since.
Now, are they officially the best gelato in the world? Hard to say, considering not every single gelato shop in the world got to enter the competition. But personally, I think their gelato is insanely good, and I’d 100% recommend trying it for yourself.
