Gazzossa is the latest addition to Lakhdar’s line-up of restaurants — the name behind La Gazzetta, Malmo, Verigoud and Fight Club. In other words, nothing but the very best.
This time, he’s set up shop in the freshly renovated Galerie Bortier, right in the heart of the city. And as always, the focus here is on simplicity and quality.
An incredible selection of affordable Italian wines, pantry goods, and most importantly, pasta. Four pastas on the menu plus a weekly special — in our case, orecchiette with leeks, pecorino and speck (€16). There are also a few antipasti, like an outstanding bresaola carpaccio (€12).
We tried the tagliolini with sage butter (€14) — always a safe bet — and my personal favorite, the tajarin with white ragù (€17), which was simply divine. Couldn’t be happier to finally have a spot like this right in the city center. Highly, highly recommended.
