What makes Ooochie Mama unique is the use of Baklouti chili peppers, sun-dried in Tunisia using the traditional Chemsi method. This drying process gives the peppers a smooth and distinctive flavor. But that’s not all.

Ooochie Mama pays special attention to the other ingredients in the recipe: our house-made Tabel spice blend, carefully crafted for aromatic complexity; the addition of olive oil to bring depth; and a squeeze of fresh lemon juice to make the finish mouthwatering.

Finally, authentic harissa is not just about flavor, it’s also about texture. Ooochie Mama is ground using a coarse meat grinder to achieve a firm, thick consistency.
