About

Founded in 2012, Brussels’ Kitchen is an independent guide to the best places to eat and drink in Brussels.

Each place is selected for the experience as a whole: standout cooking, attentive hospitality, a distinctive atmosphere and style. The aim is simple — to spark the discovery of unique places and the desire to return. True to its independence, Brussels’ Kitchen always pays the bill, ensuring that every recommendation remains free and sincere.

To maintain this independence, we do not accept invitations or collaborations from restaurants in exchange for coverage or visibility.

The guide curates a carefully chosen selection of restaurants, bars and cafés, and shares Instagram videos that capture the richness and creativity of Brussels’ culinary scene.

This approach rests on three simple principles: total independence, choices based solely on genuine favourites, and full transparency whenever collaborations with brands are involved.

Our events

Brussels’ Kitchen curates culinary events that bring together some of Brussels’ most talented chefs, with close attention to every detail — from the choice of chefs and the composition of the menus, to the pacing of the service, the design of the space, and the overall staging. Everything is crafted to create a distinctive, memorable experience where food, aesthetics, and atmosphere come together seamlessly.

The Brunch Club: a seven-course vegetarian tasting menu created by seven Brussels-based chefs. This flagship event sold out every single month, without exception, for five consecutive years.

The Supper Club: six-hand dinners, hosted occasionally and in small groups, designed as more intimate experiences.

Le Popup de Noël: a seasonal shop opening each December, featuring a sharp selection of tableware brands, ceramicists, Japanese products, sake, linens, and other carefully chosen objects — the go-to destination for one-of-a-kind gifts.

Chloé Roose

Chloé Roose founded Brussels’ Kitchen in 2012, driven by the desire to showcase the chefs, artisans, and places that keep Brussels’ culinary heart beating. Through the guide, events, and books, she creates experiences that bring people together and celebrate the art of hospitality. She is also the author and photographer behind Brussels’ Kitchen’s publications.

Over the years, several books have been published: a first guide in 2017, a second in 2019, followed by collections of recipes created in collaboration with one hundred Brussels-based chefs (2021 and 2023).

Her guiding principle remains the same: to tell the stories of places and experiences that spark the joy of sharing and the desire to return.

Her convictions:

– Editorial independence is the key to long-term trust.
– A meal is never just about the food: it is an experience shaped by the place, the welcome, and attention to detail.
– Brussels deserves a guide that is discerning, generous, and deeply curious.
